Environmental Impact Assessment and Project Management

> Level I - 6 years of higher education
Objectives :
To determine the impact of human activity upon the environment and take measures and actions to anticipate and control it. To manage and control environmental projects. The course stresses learning through hands-on experience.
Conditions for admission :
To have successfully completed a 5-year course of higher education. A first selection is made from the written application form, complemented by an interview with the admission board. Applications should be sent in by June 1st (main intake) or by September 1st (complementary intake).
Curriculum :
Environmental assessment of a site or an activity (site description, ecological and environmental assessment, environmental report), compliance with current environmental regulations, impact assessment, good knowledge of all partners in the field of the environment, project management, economic feasibility, Environmental Management System in compliance with set standards (ISO14001, EMAS, etc.), preparation of an environmental strategy.
Job Opportunities :
Project designer, evaluator, technical counsellor, project manager, project coordinator, environmental project manager. All jobs connected to environmental assessment, environmental project management and mediation, e.g.: environmental specialist in a design office, an industrial company, or a service company: distribution, the hotel and catering business, local bodies, and associations working in environmental protection or development aid.
