Q : MSc “International Vintage” / if I do not have any knowledge in French language, am I eligible to apply ? R : You must have a good level in English and French, and the admission process includes interviewes in French and English. So you can apply, but you need to follow French intensive lessons right now to have the required level.
Q : MSc “International Vintage” / Is there any limit related to the age of the candidates ? R : There is no limitation regarding the age of the candidate. To be eligible, you must come from any country other than the 25 EU Member States and other than candidates countries for accession to the UE, and you must not be a resident of these countries , or have carried out your main activity for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in these countries.
Q : Can I do the translation of the diploma and the notes or it has to be done by an official translator ? The translations may be only in English ? R : The translation of diploma and marks should be an official one in English or in French
Q : The Diploma and the marks have to be certified by the University and the School or they need to be certified by one or more Ministeries ? R : The translations can be certified by the university.
Q : The letter of introduction has to be from someone representing the university or from a teacher ? R : The letter of recommendation has to be provided by a professor of the university, who knows you well and can give his/her opinion on your academic level and skills.
Q : MSc “International Vintage” / Can i know what level of fluency for French language that the course required or acquired ? R : The level required in French for the Master Vintage course is the equivalent to the "intermediary level" of the TEF : 541 pts, (Test d’évaluation de français) or the TFI : 550 pts, or TCF3. This means that you are expected to understand written or oral information relative to usual situations and that you are able to express yourself in a way to be easily understood on usual life topics. It is the second level, after the basic one.
Q : MSc “International Vintage” / What is the level required in English language ? R : the level required in English language is 470 pts to the TOEFL test, or 550 to the TOIEC test. or the equivalent of another test (it corresponds approximately to the Band score level 6 "competent user" of the IELTS).
Q : can i know how the interview will be conducted ? Do i need to attend the interview in person ? or just through phone call ? R : The admission process consists in : first the examination of your application file, then if it receives a good mark, you are invited to pass an interview (in Angers if you are close enough at that time or by phone if not or in your country with ESA representatives). The objective of the interview is to know more about you, your background, and to see how you are motivated for the course.
